The Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) has granted bus operators’ requests for an increase in bus fares.
This followed a consultation with bus operators last week, according to RTSA Head of Public Relations FREDRICK MUBANGA.
According to Mr. MUBANGA, bus rates in the Copperbelt and in Lusaka Local have increased by One Kwacha 50 Ngwee, while intercity fares have increased by 10%.
Today, Inter-Mine Copperbelt and Lusaka Peri urban fares have increased by three kwacha, according to a statement from Mr. MUBANGA to ZNBC News.
