According to KACHINGA SINKALA, a former No. 1 seed in tennis for Zambia, the government must have intentional policies that encourage corporate organizations to participate in sports.
SINKALA claims that a lack of sponsorship and corporate involvement has contributed to the nation’s dismal results throughout the years in a number of sports disciplines.
According to him, sponsorship needs to be revived, much as it was when businesses like ZCCM engaged in the local communities, in order for Zambia to restore its dominance in a variety of athletic disciplines on the regional and international stage.
The former tennis champion claimed that by attracting more businesses or investors to different places, sport would advance.
SINKALA, who is currently a professional tennis coach located in the United States, has also urged for developing the capacity of local coaches so that they can develop upcoming tennis stars utilizing the appropriate knowledge and tools.
