Due to criminality and the economy, trucking business Massyn Vervoer will close its doors.

Massyn Vervoer, a long-haul cargo delivery company located in Emalahleni, said on Friday that it has decided to close its tautliner operation. On April 30, the division will be closed.

Long-haul lines are used by the Mpumalanga firm to convey food and building materials.

Thier closing of company was mostly due to market conditions in the road freight industry, as well as vandalism and damage to the company. This is according to company director Frans Massyn. He also outlined the economy’s general concerns.

The corporation informed employees of the impending closure in a letter sent out on Thursday.

Massyn claimed that the closing of the taut liner division would have no impact on the company’s employees. The company said they had arranged for them to be hired by other companies.
