Phumzile Diko is scheduled to appear in the Protea Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, accused of extorting R500 000 from DJ Zinhle’s business account.
Diko worked with the star, whose given name is Zinhle Jiyane, in the records division of the Public Prosecution Authority, according to Phindi Mjonondwane.
She stated that the case’s nuances will be revealed in court on Wednesday when Diko appears for a standard bail application.
DJ Zinhle is a multi-talented emcee with her own unscripted television show, DJ Zinhle. She also runs a commercial empire with a variety of interests, including Era by DJ Zinhle, a watch and jewelry company with locations in the Mall of Africa and Newtown.
When some solicitations and quantities were unaccounted for, the star hinted to controlling larceny among her employees in her existence series. It’s unclear whether the content of the unscripted TV drama is linked to Diko’s case.
