Eastern Cape-based Gospel musician Lusanda Mcinga’s career has opened doors for her as she makes her debut on radio.Information coming through to Entertainment SA indicates that Mcinga has just joined Ingwane FM, a radio station based in Mthatha.According to the news report, Mcinga is part of the station and will bring a mother’s touch and voice – she joined the Mthatha, Eastern Cape, station last week.

SowetanLIVE reports that station manager Luzuko Cetywa said Mcinga will co-host the mid-morning show Amanina with Zusiphe Mangola.“We are honoured as a station to have such as a successful and experienced person in our station,” he said.“The show that she is co-presenting needed a matured person like her who will bring her experiences into the show while opening other people’s minds.“She brings in that element of a mother and parent in the show which other women need.

Now the show is balanced and we are pleased by that.”As also reported by ESA, Mcinga made headlines when she urged the public and her fans to assist her financially in order to record an album. The IsiXhosa gospel singer headed to social media back in November pleading for donations from generous South Africans.Mcinga said she wanted to record another gospel album and travelling to Johannesburg was a mission for her when it came to financial matters.“The first week was a bit daunting for me.

I am quiet by nature and I struggled on my first day,” she said of the radio gig.“Secondly, people were complaining that my voice is too low. I am like that even at home. This week, it has been better and I have adjusted. But I am excited. I am looking forward to my new journey.“This year I refused to sit at home and wait for a call for a gig. This gives me more energy, the process of preparing for a show and looking forward to listeners calling in.”
