Idols SA season 18 has been filled with drama capped with thrill. The new season has been trending as it has unique contestants who have the bling glorified by talent.

Last night, the show introduced its top 10, and Mzansi was more than excited. The top 10 introduced themselves and shared a few things Mzansi didn’t know about them. It came as a shocker after Thapelo Molomo revealed that he is a businessman who runs a thriving business empire.

Talking on Idols SA Thapelo disclosed he is a businessman who owns a liquor store in Limpopo Mokopane. Not only that, but the Idols SA contestant is also a psychologist. He is not on Idols to be an instant millionaire but wants to display his talent and establish his singing career.

The star was born in Limpopo in January 1993. He comes from a big family; he has nine siblings and a two months old daughter. Thapelo inherited his liquor business from his father, and he introduced new skills to expand the business.

The star sees himself as a prominent businessman and singer in the future. Being on Idols is his first step, and he has already managed to impress Mzansi with his outstanding vocals.

The 29-year-old upcoming singer swayed the Idols SA judges and its viewers with his phenomenal performance. The top 10 were presented with the other two contestants, Hope and Nandi, kissing goodbye to the show.

Thapelo was in the top 10, and he performed a solo performance singing All By My Self by Celine Dion. His performance was melodic and tuneful, leaving his audience dumbfounded. His performance left Mzansi yearning for more as he killed the song better than the track’s owner.

Idols SA Judge’s reaction to Thapelo’s performance
Thapelo’s performance was one of its own kind, and the judges were impressed with how the musician had been growing since he joined Idols.

Thembi Seete thanked him for giving a brilliant performance and proving he deserves to be in the top 10. JR Bogopa also complimented Thapelo for his great staging.

On the other hand, Somizi Mhlongo applauded him for excellently singing such a massive song. Somgaga said:

You are a good listener, you take notes of every piece of advice we gave you during your last performance. That’s what we are looking for. Your performance was magnificent!
