Mercedes-Benz new T-Class coming

Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that the all-new T-Class vehicle will be unveiled on April 26.

Aimed at families and outdoor enthusiasts (#vanlife), the German manufacturer claims that this Volkswagen Caddy and Opel Combo Life competitor combines ample inside capacity with compact outside dimensions. It’s based on the existing Mercedes-Benz Citan, a commercial van that shares a platform with the Renault Kangoo third generation.

Though Mercedes-Benz hasn’t said, we expect the T-Class to be powered by the same small-capacity turbocharged petrol and diesel engines seen in the Citan. Later on, an all-electric variant, the EQT, will be added to the lineup to compete with the Volkswagen ID. Buzz.

On the inside, you can expect a high-quality cabin, plush seats, and the latest in technology and connection, which seems to be what people want most in new cars these days. Sliding doors will allow for easy entry, while changeable seats will increase practicality regardless of the load. The T-Class should come with a package of cutting-edge active safety technologies, as one would expect from a vehicle bearing the three-pointed star.
