His absence was largely felt at Orlando Pirates, who struggled to consistently find the back of the net in the DStv Premiership.

Now, with just four days left before the season gets underway, his availability for the clash against Swallows remains uncertain due to the tragic occurrence!

Reports suggest Vincent Pule is safe and sound however following such a traumatic ordeal, it may take him a good few weeks to recover from the trauma caused.

Orlando Pirates star HIJACKED and KIDNAPPED!

Vincent Pule was ‘hijacked’ and ‘kidnapped’ on 31 July 2022 according to SunSport.

His black BMW and belongings were stolen however Orlando Pirates media officer Thandi Merafe confirmed the player is safe and an investigation is underway.

“The ordeal happened and the player is safe. I cannot give more details on the incident until the investigations are concluded.” Merafe told the same publication.

In other news, newly appointed Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro has commented on his relationship with Mandla Ncikazi.

The Spanish mentor effectively replaced Mandla Ncikazi (who was co-head coach alongside Fadlu Davids) at the Buccaneers.

Riveiro insists his assistant is extremely valuable at the Mayfair based side due to his wealth of knowledge on the local game.

“He is a very humble guy with a lot of experience in the country.” Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro told reporters. “I’m smart enough to understand that he is going to have a huge contribution for us to accelerate the process to help us understand the Orlando Pirates culture, players, coaches and everything around the game. “He’s going to bring a lot of knowledge and experience about the tournament, the players, the other coaches. “We are learning also with him. He’s an important part in this quick process that we have to do in order to be prepared for the season.”
