Atleast 14 people were shot dead yesterday night at a tavern in Orlando, Soweto. Three of them are in a critical condition at Bara Hospital.
Police Commissioner Elias Mawela confirmed the incident to ENCA NEWS.
The residents of Nomzamo informal settlement including those who lost their loved ones revealed that this is a recurring incident in their area.
They said gunfire is heard regularly and this time around 14 people lost their lives.
The sad news come as South Africa is still mourning the passing of 21 teenagers at Enyobeni tavern in Scenery Park, East London in the Eastern Cape.
