A Twitter user Thabiso Floyd Tshabalala, with the Twitter handle @francwear, has accused amapiano producer DJ Maphorisa of being the reason many young musicians are suicidal. He made some interesting claims in a series of tweets, including that the music producer owed him for an imminent performance with Kabza De Small at Konka Soweto. He’s further gone ahead to tell DJ Maphorisa not to show up or else face the consequences.
In the same vein, he claimed that the title of his property is being used by the duo in their album, which is currently available on Apple Music. To show just how serious he was about it all, he tagged Sony Music Africa and warned everyone else associated with the show to stay away or else. You can check out the tweet below. It appears like DJ Maphorisa isn’t moved by the threats, however. Although the music promoter mentioned him in the tweet, the muso has neither countered the claims nor said anything about the threat. DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small are collectively called the king of amapiano and the Scorpion Kings in reference to their album of the same title. However, it remains to be seen how the duo will handle the current controversy.
