Through the National Olympic Committee of Zambia, this has been made possible.
RHODA NJOBVU and NIDDY MINGILISHI from athletics, PATRICK CHINYEMBA, STEPHEN ZIMBA, and MARGRET TEMBO from boxing, are the recipients of the awards.
Others are STEVEN MUNGA’NDU and SIMON ZULU of Judo, MIA PHIRI and GEORGE MWABA of swimming and BUNTY HOWARD from Equestrian.

The Copper Queens and the Men’s Senior Handball national team received awards from the Team Sports.
NOCZ President ALFRED FOLOKO said the recipients of the Olympic solidarity scholarships will get financial support supported by the International Olympics Committee in preparation for the Paris 2024 Olympic games.
He says the 10 athletes will each receive a total of 3,000 per quarter and are entitled to 750 dollars per month.

Speaking during the diploma ceremony in Lusaka, FOLOKO said the Olympics solidarity scholarship will offer the selected athletes a fixed monthly amount for their training and qualification.
