Given the current progress, former British Prime Minister TONY BLAIR voiced optimism for Zambia’s future.

The future potential for Zambia have heightened Mr. BLAIR’s organization’s desire and ambition to collaborate with the government, according to Mr. BLAIR, who is in the nation in his capacity as Executive Director of the TONY BLAIR Institute.
He claims that his organization wishes to send a team to Zambia and develop capacity there in any way that will support the nation’s interests.
Mr. Blair said he will present the President with a proposal on how a delivery unit will be built that will be run by locals in the next month when they met at State House this afternoon.

He said that his team has been closely collaborating with Smart Zambia on how they may use satellite technology to map the capacity for minerals as well as the implementation of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
Additionally, President HICHILEMA informed Mr. BLAIR that the economy’s restructuring efforts from their previous meeting are already showing results.
The President remarked that Zambia needed to work with him more on the resources provided by his institute in order to stop income leaks at the federal, state, and municipal levels of government as well as the revenue body.

While the Tony Blair Institute is collaborating with Smart Zambia on digitization, President HICHILEMA stated that the government wishes to broaden that collaboration to include a wide range of digital projects.
The Head of State also urged Mr. BLAIR to work with American tech billionaire ELON MUSK to include Zambia in his satellite technology trial project that might deliver internet access to the entire country.
