Zambia has been deemed prepared to host the 4th Mid-Year Coordination Meeting, which begins on Thursday, by the African Union – AU- Commission.

During the opening press conference of the 4th Mid-Year Coordination Meeting, Mr. RATABAYE made this statement.
The Organisation of African Unity (OAU) to the African Union (AU) transition meeting was held in Zambia in 2001, thus he expects the summit to be historic.

Additionally, Mr. RATABAYE has outlined a portion of the meeting’s agenda.
He claims that the Executive Council of Foreign Affairs Ministers, which will provide the AU budget for 2023, will meet prior to the gathering.
The progress achieved toward regional integration will also be covered at the meeting, according to Mr. RATABAYE.

He says that the COVID-19 epidemic, which has plagued African nations over the past two years, will be further examined at the Heads of States summit.
Zambia will welcome 12 Heads of State, according to ISABALLE LEMBA, the Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, who also spoke at the same briefing.
Representatives from the continent’s eight Regional Economic Communities will also participate, according to Ms. LEMBA.
