With only a few hours left to the release of his new hip hop single, Nyovest decided to share with his fans the making of his highly anticipated track. Taking to Instagram, Cassper shared a behind-the-scenes video clip during his time in the studio creating the song.

The rapper admitted that he was no longer motivated to make any hip-hop sound because everything felt repetitive and young to him. Mufasa further stated that he finally decided to start making music that reflects his age hence the motivation behind his new single “Put Your Hands Up.“

“I haven’t been inspired to make Hip Hop music for a while now. Everything felt repetitive and young. I woke up one day and decided to rap my age. I’m soo excited about this new single dropping tonight at Midnight!!!! PUT YA MOTHER FUCKING HANDS UP!!!!” Cassper wrote on his Instagram page.

In a response to a fan, the rapper stated that his fans should not expect a Doc Shebeleza or Tito Mboweni-style record this time around. Nyovest praised his forthcoming track, Put Your Hands Up, as “just good music.”

“That’s the best way I can put it. It’s the music I should be making for my age, status and space that I have taken up,” he wrote in a tweet.

Nyovest was last heard on a rap song on Fakaloice’s Ooh Aah song, which contained a posthumous rap from the late Riky Rick. In the song, Mufasa shook the SA Hip-Hop scene with a stunning claim to the crown.
