Following penalising a Grade 10 pupil for using his phone, the student reportedly set fire to the deputy principal’s car.
According to reports, the boy, who has not been identified, was discovered using his phone, which is against school policy.

Kwazi Mthethwa, a spokeswoman for the Department of Education in KZN, allegedly stated that the student’s phone was taken and placed in a secure location.
Mthethwa went on to say that the department “condemns this cruel crime” and will “take serious action on the subject.”
After being sent home, the kid returned and set fire to the deputy principal’s car.
