Oscar Mbo Releases Deep House EP, “Defenders Of House”Taking to social media, Mbo shared the dates of his European Tour and also announced that there will be more tour dates announced. The tour kicked off last week on the 12th at Hackney Bridge.This tour comes after the successful release of his collaborative album alongside C-Blak.
Titled Groovy Since 90 Sumthin’, the album is a love letter to all house music lovers. Groovy Since 90 Sumthin’ was crafted out of the need to diversify the deep house pool and its consumption.
Speaking on YFM, Mbo highlighted that the album was an expression of a new genre which he coined groovy.The SAMA nominated, producer and DJ, released the full body of work ahead of summer season in Mzansi and didn’t hold back on the hits.
The 12-track album is curated specifically for groovists and promises to take fans of the pair, on an unforgettable musical journey.
Continuing to defend the sound, Oscar Mbo’s efforts to keep the music pure have allowed him to bring in a more youthful spirit to the current Deep House music scene whilst his popularity grants him access and the ability to work with Amapiano pioneers such as Kabza De Small.
Groovy Since 90 Sumthin’ follows Mbo’s 2021 Deep House album, Defender’s Of House which was a welcomed break from Amapiano and actually gave Deep House lovers something to celebrate.
