1.Extremely high fire conditions are expected over the Beaufort West Municipality in the Western Cape, Kai! Garib and Dawid Kruiper local Municipalities in the Northern Cape.

Temperature and UVB forecast

Gauteng:

Temperature: Fine and cool.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Low.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Partly cloudy in the east, otherwise fine and cool.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Cloudy in the north, otherwise partly cloudy and cool.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Fine and cool.

Free State:

Temperature: Fine and cool.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Fine and cool to warm and very windy over the central and southern interior, becoming cloudy over the west coast in the evening.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate northerly, becoming moderate south-westerly by the afternoon.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and cool to warm, becoming cloudy with a chance of light rain along the south-west coast and the adjacent interior.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate easterly to north-easterly, but fresh to strong northerly to north-westerly along the south-west coast in the morning. It will become light to moderate southerly to south-westerly along the west coast from the evening.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Low.

Eastern Cape:

The Western half –Fine and warm. It will be windy in places over the western interior.

The Western half -Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-westerly east of Algoa bay at first, otherwise light to moderate south-westerly, becoming easterly in the afternoon.

The Eastern half – Fine and warm, but cool on the high-ground.

The Eastern half -The wind along the coast will be light and variable at first, becoming light to moderate north-easterly.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Morning fog in places over the northern interior, otherwise fine and cool but warm in the east.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh northerly to north-easterly.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Moderate.
