Actors-brothers SK and Abdul Khoza will go head-to-head when South Africans decide who will play stripper Sabelo Cele in The Black Door.
Black Brain Pictures reveals that both actors have been selected for the role but fans will vote on Monday, 1 August for who will play the character.
SK AND ABDUL KHOZA GO HEAD-TO-HEAD
Mandla N, the director of e.tv’s raunchy show The Black Door reveals to Daily Sun that they didn’t know whether to go with actor/brother Abdul or SK Khoza when they auditioned for the role of stripper Sabelo Cele.
“But the real question is: who will South Africans want? We’ll put up a poll on all social media platforms on Monday so people can vote.”
The DiepCity creator adds that they’re excited to see who people will vote for in the character of Sabelo Cele.
‘We’ll wait for South Africa to decide, then we’ll announce who gets the role.”
INSIDE ‘THE BLACK DOOR’ CHARACTER
The production company also announced last week that one of the brothers and actors SK and Abdul Khoza will be joining the show and that they’ve shot scenes for the character of Sabelo Cele in The Black Door.
According to the publication, Sabelo Cele is a stripper who wants to take down Rebecca Mabuza, played by Isibaya’s Linda Sebezo.
Award-winning actor SK Khoza is famously known for his characters in The Queen, Ayeye, and Kings of Joburg while his brother Abdul Khoza is known for his roles in Isibaya, The Wife, and more.
Abdul recently bagged a DStv Mzansi Viewers’ Choice Award for Best Actor in The Wife for the character of Nqoba.
The Wife actor also co-won the 2011 Amstel Class Act competition and has since starred in shows such as Intersections, Tempy Pushas, The Road, Durban Gen, Ring of Lies, Netflix’s series Kings of Joburg and Isibaya, and many more.
