These rappers dropped albums that will forever be in the SA hip hop hall of fame and they will live for many generations to come. Taking to Twitter, Rashid Kay shared four SA hip-hop projects that are 10 years old this year as he showed respect to the acclaimed rappers. “SA Hip Hop albums that are 10 years old this year,” tweeted Rashid Kay.
These albums clearly indicate the milestone that rappers such as Zakwe, Ab Crazy, Khuli Chana and Reason have achieved in the game. Even if South Ah’s new school rap is currently ruling the scene, such projects will always hold a special place in SA hip hop history.
During the SA Hip Hop Awards, the Artist Of The Decade Award was introduced to honor some of the country’s top rappers who have made an effect in the game over the last decade. Cassper Nyovest won because of how he has blended his raps into a larger brand in Mzansi.
Khuli Chana, Zakwe, and Reason were all nominated for the prize, demonstrating how much effect they have had on the game to this day. Only AB Crazy was left off the list, despite the fact that his record is ten years old this year.
