Angry Residents Warn SAPS Amid Zama Zamas’ Tension: “We Will Do Your Job”Residents in Gauteng’s West Rand have had enough of the police and have threatened to take matters into their own hands by hunting down alleged zama zamas themselves. This past weekend, Police Minister Bheki Cele and other top brass held an anti-crime imbizo in Kagiso, engaging residents who accused law enforcement of ignoring the dire consequences of illegal mining in the community and demanded that their plights be addressed.Residents raided mine shafts this week in search of illegal mine workers they claim are behind crime in the area, resulting in violence and mayhem. The unrest stems from the gang rape of about eight women while they were filming a music video near Krugersdorp.YOU MAYALSO LIKE: Joburg Man Arrested For Presenting Fraudulent Sick Note To EmployerDuring the attack, other members of the production crew were robbed of their belongings. Vote them out! They must feel how cold it is on the other side,” the same resident added.
