The motive for the hit, according to the State, was to cash in on insurance and pension benefits.The State was able to persuade the court that Kwaza had enlisted Chwayi’s assistance in having her husband executed.He then hired Shasha, who enlisted Ludidi’s assistance. They then shot Pasika in the head and stole his cellphone.Patience was sentenced to 12 years and 18 months in prison for her role in the conspiracy and her subsequent false statement to police.Ludidi and Shasha were also sentenced to 15 years in prison for aggravated robbery, three years in prison for illegal firearm possession, and 18 months in prison for ammunition possession. The sentences will run alongside the life sentences.
