Entertainment commentator Phil Mphela has announced that talented actor Warren Masemola has joined e.tv’s second-most-watched show House of Zwide as Alex Khadzi, a fashion guru who’s out to make Funani Zwide’s life miserable.
ALEX KHADZI DEBUT IN ‘HOUSE OF ZWIDE
The Pretoria-born actor Warren Masemola, who’s appeared in The River, Ses’Top La, and many more shows might make his House of Zwide debut this Friday, 16 September as Alex Khadzi… Vusi Kunene’s (Funani) on-screen rival.
The TVSA Friday 16 September teaser reads:
“Funani and Laz come to grips with the fact they’ll be going up against Alex Khadzi.”
According to previous episodes, Alex and Funani studied fashion together and became rivals after graduating.
The teasers also reveal that Masemola’s character will hire Sandile at his fashion house after he got second place in the fashion competition last season.
Sandile is battling to find employment as a fashion designer and currently works as a waiter.
Alex and Funani are both competing for the R100 million DTI deal… although it is unclear from the teasers who will secure the deal, the teasers show that both Funani and Alex will be surprised by the outcome.

WARREN MASEMOLA: PREVIOUS TV ROLES
The SAFTA-winning actor and voice artist is best known for his role as art director Lentswe Mokethi in e.tv’s Scandal!, and for his role as Oupa in 1Magic’s The River.
Masemola also acted alongside his late friend actress Busi Lurayi as a gay neighbour Thokozani “Thoko” Chanel in SABC1’s sitcom Ses’Top La.
Other TV roles in include: Tizozo in the SABC1’s drama series Intersexions and has had guest appearances on television series such as Isidingo and The Philanthropist
The actors also appeared in Intersexions, The Republic, Ayeye season one, Isibaya, Heist, according to TVSA.
