Funani’s worst nightmare is about to enter the House Of Zwide walls. The newest addition to the hit eTV drama series is said to be Funani Zwide’s biggest and old rival.
The multi-talented and extremely versatile actor Warren Masemola has joined House Of Zwide to play the character Alex Khadzi.
Warren can easily body any character he plays whether queer, gangster or comedic, he does it all. It’s only fitting for him to be in a fashion drama series.
eTV said in a statement that the two legendary actors will be working together for the first time. His character, known as a design genius, will appear on September 19.
“Much like his character, his creations are colourful, provocative, and eye-catching. In our world, Alex is part of that new crop of young, bold South African designers who are starting to make a name for themselves internationally,” wrote eTV.
“Alex is a high-flier, and his biggest achievements include featuring on the Forbes’ “30 under 30” as well as winning the coveted LVMH Prize for young designers.
But don’t let the charm and bright outfits fool you, Alex has a heart of darkness. But first, he wants to bring Funani to his knees…” the statement concludes.
House of Zwide recently hogged headlines for taking the number 2 spot away from Generations: The Legacy.

Sitting at number 1 is the ever-so-popular Uzalo with 5.9 million viewers, in second place with 5.3 million viewers is Scandal! and House Of Zwide makes it to number three with 4.9 million viewers. Generations: The Legacy came at number four with 4.7 million viewers, and then with 4.5 million viewers, Skeem Saam takes the 5th spot.
