Kwesta Explains Why He Responded To Big Zulu’s 150 Bars Diss Track. Big Zulu took one for the team when he released the 150 Bars diss track, which targeted every big-name rapper in Mzansi. K.O and Kwesta were among those who responded to the Nkabi Records boss.

Despite the good relationship he has with Big Zulu, Kwesta did not let the Zulu rapper get away with dissing him hence he decided to release a reply. Kwesta delivered a fully clever and witty hard-hitting punchline with enticing flows.

Talking during the interview on ESAM Podcast, the Nomayini hitmaker revealed that he was aware that Big Zulu was going to drop the 150 Bars song, but he was not aware that his peer was aiming at the big names in SA Hip Hop including him. “Zulu told me he was gonna do something like that, in my head, I’m just thinking it’s just I don’t think names will be mentioned,” he said.

Kwesta acknowledged that the pressure from fans and everyone who listened to Big Zulu’s song compelled him to reply, even though it was not an immediate reaction. “Now the fans, people who might f*ck with my sh*t were starting to go like manje, and really that then what prompted, it wasn’t the really immediate feeling after hearing the joint.” He said.

Kwesta also stated that he made Big Zulu aware of the consequences of his song and how it can affect people in real life. “I told Zulu, I spoke to him about what made me do it had nothing to do with his intention of why he did it was the effects in real time that were from that,” he added.

In the interview, Kwesta clarified his lyrics in his diss track where he stated that his leftovers saved Big Zulu’s life. “I was really talking about the resources, the studio sh*t, and before they let go of the bus also, and they have taken over the instalment, I meant those things, some people thought I meant people, which would’ve been a weak bar,” he said.
