Shortly after the stroke, her family informed her supporters that she is on the road to recovery and is doing well.

Lira herself appears to be in pretty high spirits as she continues to make progress after the stroke severely impacted her speech.Heading to Instagram, the songbird shared that she can definitely still sing. At the time, she also added that speech is “challenging”.
Along with the small update, Lira shared a clip of herself rehearsing with the Mzansi Youth Choir.

MAKING GOOD PROGRESS
While she initially struggled with her speech, she headed online this week to share that there have definitely been improvements.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), she shared how she did an interview with a local publication and managed to speak pretty well.
“I did my first in person interview with Sunday Times which will be out this Sunday. I’m speaking SO much better – I’m proud of my progress,” she said.
