Imbewu: The Seed, an etv drama series, has impressed Mzansi with its captivating plot. We can all agree that the series has revolutionized Mzansi soap operas.
Others of Mzansi’s best actors have been in the drama series from its inception, however some have been forced to leave because of scandals.
The drama series once boasted a star-studded ensemble that included actors like Tony Kgoroge, Fundiswa Zwane, and Mpumelelo Bhulose.
Mpumelelo Bhulose.
Mzansi has recently been wondering where Mpumelelo Bhulose went after she vanished. When he joined Imbewu as Zimele Bhengu, he garnered a lot of media attention.
His on-screen persona, however, was cut short when he was fired for missing the shoot. His problems grew worse when he fell out with Duma, who also happens to be the drama series’ creator. He was let go in 2018 due to his lack of professionalism.
Fundiswa Zwane
KaMadonsela was portrayed on screen by a seasoned actress. She was however given the boot in 2020 when she pushed for a pay raise among other things.
According to a report from Isolezwe, the actress was fired after asking for a wage raise from her management. She was reportedly uninformed of Fundiswa’s departure, therefore it is believed that her departure surprised her. Brenda Mhlongo will purportedly take her position.
Tony Kgoroge
There were rumors that Tony Kgoroge would be sacked right away from Imbewu The Seed because he didn’t live up to the role of the original Ngcolosi when he first joined the cast.
As a result of the actor’s continued performance, people forgot about the original Ngcolosi since Kgoroge was so much better.
The actor, who took on the character with greater fire and authenticity than Phumele, who played the real Ngcolosi, seemed to believe that he deserved more as a result of his experience. However, the producers told him, “We don’t have the money,” and Kgoroge left.
Phindile Gwala
When the seasoned actress landed her role on Muvhango, she garnered a ton of media attention. Her role as receptionist Nonny on Muvhango propelled the seasoned actress into the spotlight.
Because of her scandals, she has been let go from a number of soap operas. Mzansi waits for Phindile Gwala’s portrayal of Fikile to depart. According to insiders, she was let off from the drama series as a result of her inefficiency. She was quitting the show in good faith, which was revealed by the showrunners to clean their name.
