Priddy Ugly Weighs In On How Collaborations Makes Him Feel. Some of hip hop’s biggest hits and most memorable moments have resulted from collaborative efforts between two or more artists who are perhaps best known for doing their own thing, apart from one another.

South African hip hop has been graced with memorable collaborations that will live on for many years, but Priddy Ugly shared his thoughts on how he prefers to make his music in terms of collaborations. Taking to Twitter, the MUD hitmaker explained how collaborating with other artists makes him feel.

In a tweet, the famed rapper claimed that he finished recording MUD in February of this year, but that the song couldn’t be published until the featured musicians had completed their verses. “I finished recording MUD in Feb this year, the rest of the time was just waiting on featured artists, mix & master. I had hopped by now that I would be dropping the 2nd project this year, but you know – EVERYTHING GODLY YEARNS PATIENCE & TIME.” He tweeted.

The rapper further went on and mentioned that he has no problem with collaborations, but he always prefers to create the song himself so that he feels and how he wants the song to sound. “Colabs are cool, but honestly I prefer constructing the song & idea myself, because then I know the meat of the song aligns with how I feel it should reflect, then I’ll send it intended featured artist so they can take their time & immerse themselves into the song & kill it!” He tweeted.

Priddy Ugly went on and lamented that he has waited for 10 months to receive verses from artists he has collaborated with on his project. The rapper did, however, went on to give credit to Blxckie who delivered his verse in a few hours for the song Dead Jungles.

“When the time is right, we either link to record their part of the song or they send it through, after sitting with it for a while, so they come correct. I’ve waited as long as 10months to get a verse, some never came back, Blxckie had sent back Dead Jungle in a few hours.” Added Priddy Ugly in a tweet.
