Zandie Khumalo weighs in on the ongoing Senzo Meyiwa trial, which has shook the country. Because the murder occurred at her sister Kelly Khumalo’s house, her family name has been at the center of this trial, and people appear to be demanding answers from all of them.

Zandie has reached her breaking point and has given up hope of ever appearing in court to tell her side of the story.

In response to Advocate Teffo’s withdrawal as counsel in the case, Zandie stated that the desperation to convict her family has turned this case into a circus.

Teffo told the court yesterday that he has received numerous threats to his life and has decided to resign.
“I would like to inform the honourable court that I will no longer be able to proceed based on the harassment that I am receiving from the State and the court,” he said in court.

“What is happening here is heartbreaking. The justice system in this country is becoming a circus. My clients are being prosecuted for sins they never committed. I cannot be part of this. Each time I raise an issue for accused 1 – 4 Judge Maumela cannot take a decision. But let it be another one who raises something he is able to take a decision,” he continued.

Zandie Khamulo has her say, “It looks like one is never gonna get their day in court here because people entrusted with this case have turned into a circus so I might as well say this here and now,” she started off.

She said this case does not look like it will be solved anytime soon, “It really pains me that this case doesn’t look like it will be solved anytime soon because South Africa believes opportunists and populists like this one,” she says posting a picture of Advocate Teffo.

“It pains me because it means the Meyiwa family will never get justice and it pains me because it means my family will forever live under this dark cloud, this one claimed he had an eyewitness uphi? (where is he). He claimed he had proof that Kelly pulled the trigger and now he withdraws, he has had his 2 minutes of fame…

“This desperate desire to find the Khumalo’s guilty so “We will believe and back anyone who says what we want to hear” will stand in the way of justice, this tunnel view approach that the society is applying to this case is what is obstructing justice from being served but qhubekani (continue.”
She ends things off by asking why are they not being called to court and why is nobody asking them anything.

A few days ago, Zandie gushed over Advocate Zandile Mshololo, “EzakwaZulu,Oh Lord my bizo is so beautiful sengathi ucula iKhwela la.”
But people think she was throwing shade at her.

This comes after Mshololo said the Khumalos must be questioned, as there has been an apparent second docket placing Kelly Khumalo, Zandile Khumalo, Longwe Twala, Gladness Khumalo, Tumelo Madlala, Mthokozisi Thwala and Maggy Phiri as suspects in the case and are also accused of defeating the ends of justice.

“The state must give us reasons for the decision that has been taken, whether it’s been a misjoinder or maybe we are supposed to be having 10 accused here, the other accused should have been joined here or they should not be joined — we don’t know…As a result, I am asking that this matter be adjourned and the remaining period of this session,” said Mshololo.
