Former Generations The Legacy star ‘Winston’ Lehasa Moloi has left his fans concerned after he opened up about his mental health status. Moloi is in serious need of help as he is going through a difficult period in his life. In the Instagram story, he opened up about his mental health challenges and begged for prayers from across Mzansi.


The news does come as a shocker to many of his fans, given the Winston role he played on the show was also depressed. Winston had severe mental health issues from childhood, and he would kill every woman crossing his way. He was so good at being a wolf in sheep’s clothing in the show and that made it more complicated fpr detectivs. What Winston felt in the show is what Lehasa is now feeling in real life. However we thump up to Lehasa for opening up; he will surely get the necessary assistance to feel better again.

Former Generations The Legacy actor Lehasa Moloi opens up on mental health struggles.
Mental health issues have been topping the charts amongst South Africans as many celebrities suffer. Most of them have been opting for silence until it is too late, except for some who have been coming out in public to express their challenges.

Celebrities coming out about their mental health issues is certainly a hint for people to try to talk about this issue and offer solutions on how to deal with it without taking one’s life. It can also serve as a sign to other celebrity personalities to not be scared to express their challenges in public and seek help sooner rather than later.

On his Instagram story, Lehasa Moloi said,

“Depression is chowing me right now, guys. I can barely speak. Pray for me.”

Apart from Lohoi Moloi, Mbali Mlotshwa has also come out recently about her mental health challenges. Mbali got depressed after her divorce with Black Coffee. According to her she was mourning the death of love. Black Coffee had been Mzansi’s admired power couple until things started crumbling down leading to their divorce and her Depression.

The end of Riky Rick and Patrick Shai sparked a conversation around mental health. Mental illness is one of the leading causes of death amongst people. Unfortunately, fans only learned about the struggles of some of their favourite personalities after their death, unlike those who are coming out in recent times.
Based on reports, Patrick Shai allegedly took his life on the 22nd of January 2022. His wife discovered his death in their garage in Dobsonville. Patrick Shai was followed by Riky Rick, who took his life on the 23rd of February 2022.

A heartbreak suicide note for his wife and their children was also published with the news of his death. On the suicide note, he apologised for being the one giving up and how the pain had become too much. Part of the note read, “The pain is too much. It would help if you didn’t blame yourself for my life being unbearable. You gave me more love than I deserved. Live your life. Do not hide the light you have me every day….”
