Uncle Waffles‘ road to fame has had many girls believe that their dreams are valid as she achieved a lot in the year. The DJ went from being a struggling DJ to an International booked and busy superstar in a few months as her fans watched in surreal. Today she has yet again broken barriers as Uncle Waffles announced that she had landed her first radio job on BBC radio and not on a local radio station.

Uncle Waffles took to her Instagram stories to share that she finally landed a job as a radio DJ, and it is on BBC radio. She has joined the BBC Radio 1 resident DJs for September with Aha da dream, while others like Skream, Joseph Capriati, Helena Hauff and Eliza Rose join for October and November.

The radio station is an international radio station, and Uncle Waffles be playing there, bringing the Amapiano rhythm to the world on a large platform. This is her first radio gig as she has not held one on the local radio channels; Waffles has been used to playing in clubs and shows.

Undoubtedly, Uncle Waffles is loved by many and can easily be termed South Africa’s sweetheart on the decks. Fans who have been following her rise to fame say that it is clear her ancestors are working overtime because of the level at which she is succeeding. Many people have congratulated Waffles on her new job and hope she shares with the world the Amapiano genre.

She quickly released her debut EP while she was still a hot topic, and one of the singles Tanzania blew up, racking in millions of views on streaming services. She also had her first overseas tour in the UK, filling stadiums with people wanting to watch her in action.

Even Drake, an international rapper, is always sharing Uncle Waffles’ content on his page and even follows her. A year ago, this was a dream to the DJ, and now, watching it come alive, she says it’s surreal and feels out of this world.
